User Data Deletion Instructions

In accordance with Meta Platform Terms (Facebook Login, Instagram Graph API, WhatsApp Cloud API) and international privacy laws, you have the absolute right to request the deletion of your data from VBO Connect at any time.

1What Meta User Data We Process

When you connect your Facebook Pages, Instagram Professional accounts, or WhatsApp Business accounts to VBO Connect, we process only the data required to deliver unified messaging:

  • OAuth Access Tokens: Encrypted Page and WABA tokens used to send and receive customer inquiries.
  • Page & Account Identifiers: Facebook Page ID, Instagram Account ID, WABA ID, and Phone Number ID.
  • Customer Conversation Data: Customer messages, sender usernames/PSIDs, and delivery receipts exchanged with your connected channels.

2Method A: Disconnect from Facebook Account Settings

You can revoke VBO Connect’s access directly from your personal Facebook account at any time. This immediately terminates our API access to your Pages:

  1. Log in to your Facebook profile and click your profile icon in the top right.
  2. Go to Settings & privacy → click Settings.
  3. In the left sidebar menu, select Apps and websites (or navigate to facebook.com/settings?tab=applications ).
  4. Locate VBO Connect in the list of active apps.
  5. Click Remove. You may also check the box to delete all posts, videos, or events that VBO Connect may have posted on your behalf.
  6. Click Remove again to confirm. Meta will revoke the access token immediately.

3Method B: 1-Click Disconnect in VBO Connect

If you manage a workspace on VBO Connect, you can purge your channel credentials and unsubscribe all webhooks instantly:

  1. Sign in to your VBO Connect workspace at https://connect.vbotech.com/login.
  2. Navigate to Settings → Channels & Social (or visit /settings/channels).
  3. Under Facebook Messenger & Instagram, click the red Disconnect button.
  4. Under WhatsApp Cloud API, click the Disconnect button.

• Automatic Webhook Unsubscription: Clicking Disconnect automatically sends a DELETE request to Meta’s /subscribed_apps API, unbinding your Page/WABA from our servers and permanently erasing stored tokens from our encrypted database.

4Method C: Request Complete Tenant Data Purge

If you wish to completely delete your entire workspace, all past messages, customer contacts, audit logs, and analytics telemetry from our databases:

Email Data Protection Officer: Send an email from your registered workspace admin email to privacy@vbotech.com with the subject line “Data Deletion Request - [Your Workspace Name]”.
Verification & Confirmation: Our security team will verify your tenant ownership and issue a unique Confirmation Tracking ID within 48 business hours.
Permanent Purge: All MongoDB collections containing your tenant data, Redis queue artifacts, and backup snapshots will be permanently deleted within 30 days, after which a final Certificate of Deletion is emailed to you.
